the purpose of assisting and developing small business across
the local region. In December 2009, GABDO undertook a name change to become the Small Business Centre South East Metro (SBC SEM) Inc. A name chosen to better reflect the region it serves. To date, this has been achieved through:

The delivery of the State Government funded
small business program (SBC South East Metro), under direction
of the Small Business Development Corporation (SBDC)
|
| |
 |
Delivery of a range of training and development programs,
and
|

 |
Through the formation of strategic alliances
and working partnerships with various organisations.

In November 2004, SBC South East Metro relocated their office to
the landmark Agonis Building in the Gosnells town centre and took on
the role of managing the Business Development Centre. The purpose
of SBC South East Metro was extended and now offers the opportunity of locating
eligible small businesses within the supportive and flexible business development
environment.
SBC South East Metro exists to service the small business sector
across the south east metropolitan area. Major sponsors include
the Small Business Development Corporation, the City of Gosnells, the City of Armadale
and the City of Canning.
The Centre is directed by a Board of Management
composed of individuals who volunteer their time and efforts to
improving small business across the community. The Board oversees
the strategic direction of the Centre and ensures compliance with
the Associations Act.
